MAJOR ROADS IN THE KWAHU AFRAM PLAINS SOUTH TO BE CAPTURED IN THE SECOND PHASE OF THE HYDROPROJECT – DCE HINTS

In an exclusive interview with the District Chief Executive Officer of the District, Mr. Ofori George, he revealed that the major roads within the District have been captured under the second phase of the Hydroproject and would be attended to in the shortest time.

“I know one of the major problems within Afram Plains is the road network. My predecessors have played major roles in seeing to it that the road is in good shape. As I speak with you, the first phase of the Hydroproject has ended and the second phase is bound to commence soon. Our major road has been captured and it would be attended to”, he said.

When asked what the district has done so far about the road, he said they are currently reshaping the road.

“As you saw when coming, the Assembly is currently doing reshaping of the road. We have done major parts of the Tease-Ekye highway and also working on other roads connecting the District Capital (Tease) to the nearby communities”, he added.

The main road leading from Ekye through Tease to Agordeke in the Kwahu Afram Plains has been the major hindrance to development in both the Afram Plains North and South Districts.
