Mali: Inna Modja using music to stop Female Genital Mutilation
For many years the issue of female genital mutilation, a situation where the female clitoris is cut-off, as part of tradition among some tribes in some parts Ghana and within the Northern part of Africa; current technological advancement and open mindedness that has swept though many of these tribes, a person standing by would thing the practice of female genital mutilation days were over. Well to my surprise the tradition has not changed despite the numerous education.
Inna Modja a renowned musician has taken it upon herself to extend the education through music. It is always good to communicate in a medium that everyone can understand, hence could possibly stay with the subjects for a long time.
