‘Many gospel musicians use Juju’

imagesUp -and -coming gospel artiste, Mike Awuah claims many gospel musicians in the country resort to juju as means of promoting their music career.

The artiste made the claim on Accra-based Atinka Fm.

The 36 year- old said, most gospel artistes are highly involved in using mystical powers to sway listeners  to their advantage.

He stated that, most artistes hypnotize radio personalities and disc jockeys to give them sufficient air play over their competitors.

Mike Awuah’s first hit song was released in 1998 but he relates his unpopularity to bad management and financial challenges.

“I’m equally as good as Kwaku Gyasi, Joyce Blessing and other artistes in the gospel music fraternity. They all can attest to the fact that, I can rub shoulders with them at any level but I don’t have any help,” the artiste said.

Awuah’s producer, Joshua Appau says he sees a great future in him that is why he choosen to invest in the artiste.

The Mauritania based producer opined that he had invested more than GHc 150 000.00 in Mike Awuah simply because he believes the artiste will excel in his  music career within the shortest possible time.
