A popular Facebook crooner has reported that the news making rounds of Hon. Aponkye’s victory was allegedly orchestrated by some persons to ridicule the popular guy.

According to him, only one polling station’s result was declared (his strong hold) and he called Nana Aba Anamoah to inform her of his win.

Nana Aba Anamoah then posted the news on her twitter account and bloggers took it up from there.

One Eugene Osei-Tutu alerted Facebook users as he claims to be closer to the polling station.

He posted this;

“Mercy – Hon Aponkye is an ‘idiot’. So what happened is, they finished counting his votes at just one polling station which was his strong hold and he jumped unto a motorbike and left to jubilate claiming he’s won.

Ohh!!

This is a national disaster ooo. Aponkye paaa”.
