Model Commits Suicide

A fast rising Nigerian model Yinka Olonode is reported to have jumped to his death from the 15th floor of a hotel building.

According to reports, Yinka apparently committed suicide by jumping from the 15th floor of the Nines Hotel at 525 S.W. downtown Portland rooftop restaurant, on the evening of Monday 29th April.

Yinka is said to have featured in a Nigerian MTN advert in which he was known as ‘Shy Guy’. It was set in a university campus ‘where a guy helped his friend hook up a girl by sitting next to her and when his phone rang, Yinka handed the phone to her.

When his friend did his thing, she said, I thought u’d never ask?’
He attended Unilag and he was quite a popular student.

He recorded a song ‘No woman no cry’ on YouTube before he left Nigeria and he was quite good. He didn’t pursue his musical career, though.
He was a model and a very good online personality in Nigeria. Yinka is survived by his father, his brothers and also his daughter Feyisola Elizabeth (10 months old).

Nobody knows his motive for the alleged suicide yet.
