MUSIGA’s Christmas message to musicians, Ghanaians

imagesThe President and executives of the Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA), have wished all Ghanaians a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

According to the President Bice Osei Kuffour aka Obour, 2014 has been a very eventful year for the Union as it celebrated the second edition of the Ghana Music Week Festival; held a hugely successful second edition of the gathering of captains of industry; Grand Ball and successfully contributed to the Ageing Musicians Welfare Fund (AMWeF).

President Obour also commended Ghanaian musicians for their resilience in the face of the various challenges confronting the industry and urged them to be more resolute as they enter the New Year.

He said they must continue in their quest to ensure that Ghana music grows from strength to strength.

He also commended the two leading political parties for their successful congresses and urged the political leadership of the country to rise above partisanship and consistently seek the best interest of the nation in all their endeavors.

President Obour noted “let us continue to safeguard the tranquility and peace we enjoy in Ghana and on the occasion of Christmas, let us resolve to individually contribute our quota to ensure that our dear country continues to develop for the betterment of generations unborn.”
