My son inspired my apology to Samini, Stonebwoy – Shatta Wale

imagesGhanaian dancehall artiste, Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jnr, popularly known as Shatta Wale, says his son, Majesty Alexander inspired his apology to Samini, Stonebwoy and events company, Charterhouse.

Answering a question on what inspired his apology, Shatta said “I wouldn’t lie about it, anytime I look at him I feel some vibration and all I hear him say is that daddy don’t worry just make peace with them and everything will be fine.”

“I really wanted to do this some time ago but with the feeling I had from him, I felt this is a baby I just brought to this world by His grace and I don’t want him to have that pain in him,” he added.

He was speaking to Amanda Jissih on Showbiz Filla on Hitz FM.

Shatta welcomed his baby boy on July 12, 2015 with a tweet saying, “Today God gave me a bouncy baby boy and on this same day I won a trophy… who is greater than God.”

Shatta shook the Ghanaian music scene for some years and faced anyone who disagreed with his actions directly. This has brought about grudges between him and some of his closest allies back in the days.

To patch up the differences he has with some of these artistes, he rendered an apology to them in a letter he released over the weekend.

Commenting on what he did wrong, Shatta said “I wouldn’t say I have done anything extraordinary to the industry but I feel I might have said certain things that some people might have felt offended by.”

On what the external attempts to start a feud between him and Stonebwoy mentioned in his letter meant, the ‘Everybody Likes My Ting’ hit-maker said,

“Stonebwoy has been like my junior brother, I remember my ‘Bandana’ days, we used to eat together and my first record label that signed me, bought me a car and he was the first person I rode in the car with so we have had some great relationship together.”

“If I have personal issues with Samini, fine, but with stonebwoy I don’t think it’s healthy, its best for us to do songs and not create misunderstandings between the two of us,” he furthered.

He also added that, “I want the world to know that any time you wrong somebody you need to let the world know that you are sorry and that is what I’m doing, I’m not doing this for any publicity stunts.”

“I’m a Christian and I believe in ‘Thank you’ and ‘I’m sorry’,” he concluded.

Meanwhile, in what looks like a response to Shatta Wale’s letter of apology, Samini said on twitter:

“#BreakingNews ..Careful of them. They will implicate and stigmatize you with Fabrications and lies in their own interest.#stayfar from them.

“I love my mother….#mymother raised me to respect myself and everyone around me. Don’t insult the elderly no matter what she told me. She also called me SPECIAL.”

“#mymother said to me “don’t mind them, keep calm and watch them fall like rain. They will surely drain for the sun to shine again. #MumsWords,” he concluded.
