Nam1 set at liberty today by court

CEO of MenzGold Ghana Limited, Mr. Nana Appiah Mensah has been granted bail on Friday July 26th by Accra Circuit Court presided over by Justice Jane Helen Akweley Quaye.

Nana Appiah Mensah who is believed to be appearing in court for some months back in Dubai is now a free man after he appeared in court on Friday morning for the beginning  of his trial on Menzgold saga only on the bases that he settles his bail and payback monies he took from Menzgold customers.

In the meantime, charges raised against NAM1 is the act of defrauding by false pretence, contrary to sections 20 (1) and 13 (1) of the Criminal Offenses Act, 1960 (Act 29).

Furthermore, he was charged with two courts of abetment to carry out banking business without license contrary to section 6 (1) of Act 930.

In other words, couple of Menzgold customers were available at the court this morning, holding various placards with inscriptions on them. Some of these inscriptions written on the placards include; “no money for fees” , “Free NAM1, he’s our hero” among others.
