Nana Aba Anamoah’s Baby Daddy, Fashionista Osebo Is Gradually Drumming Home His Point
It’s an open secret that Ghanaians like prejudging a lot of stuff in many circumstances. In most cases, they’ll sideline your idea before they even give you the chance to prove a point to them. To most Ghanaians, anything foreign is genuine and laudable whilst local stuff are tagged as inferior, bogus or unnecessary.
Of late, Papa Richy aka Osebo has been dressing ‘uniquely’ for a while and he is making his point known because of how people have started giving him attention. In our Ghanaian culture, a man who wears skirts is abhorred and stigmatized. For Osebo to be proud enough to be wearing around skirt and other women related apparels in this Ghana of ours, he should be awarded for his bravery!
I know most would argue that foreign stuff should be left alone whilst we deal with ours. But, the world is fast changing and fashion has become a universal card for all and sundry.
Personally, I won’t be surprised if many others join Osebo in the wearing of the skirt very soon. But, until then, we might as well look on and see what transpires.
