Netizen Details Why House Helps Can Never Be A True Family

Family as a union that binds people via blood, birth or to a large extent adoption is one thing Africans and other races cherish a lot. Both the nuclear and extended families have contributed significantly towards the welfare and wellbeing of individuals who find themselves in the midst of such families.

A netizen has opened a new chapter about why house helps who stay with their bosses because of businesses cannot be classified as true families who are part of those families they serve.

Making his point known, he explained why he begs to differ as to why house helps should not be categorised as family.

He noted;

***I know we said you should treat your househelps kindly, respectfully and with some dignity.
BUT… your house help is NOT your child… except you formally adopt him or her.
Don’t try to overcompensate. We can still recognize them from their dressing, demeanour and carriage.

If you employ ADULTS and treat them well and pay them directly into their bank accounts or cash at hand directly to them, you wouldn’t need to prove anything to us.

Your househelp is your employee NOT your child.

Employing a child (under 16 or under 18) as your househelp and sewing shapeless “and co” uniform for them with your family doesn’t delete the fact that you are a CRIMINAL who engages in CHILD LABOUR. You still deserve to roast in jail.***
