The Romantic Nonsense architect has tested the pulse of the nation; the temperature of the citizenry and is ready to release tension with arguably one of the best satiric performances of all time.
The Playwright described Anticlockwise as a “universally mind blowing piece that depicts every bit of everyday life, clothed in rigorous humour with a touch of feminine emotions. It is a play for the youth and the old; for women and for men. There comes a time in our lives as a people, individuals, nation, continent; in our relationships, finance, health, when things just don’t go the way we want them to; and the more we try to straighten the crookedness of these areas the more dramatic they become.”
With juicy words of wits, in-depth dialogues and vivacious characters, Anticlockwise will drown the audience in uncontrollable laughter and keep them on the edge of their seats.
And with songs written by himself punctuating the fast pace comic moments of the play, Nii Commey is asking audience to bring along handkerchiefs to wipe-off the tears of excitement that will flow throughout the play.
He is not just a Playwright
Nii Commey has written over 20 plays so far, staged in different parts of the country and beyond. In 2005, he was an active writer for the award winning TV Soap Opera, Sun City.
