Narrating the incident to Adakabre Frimpong-Manso on Neat FM‘s, “Me Man Nti” programme, Tuesday, Nii Lante Vanderpuye said he was attacked by some ‘hoodlums’ believed to be members of the NPP in the full glare of some police personnel.
The Odododiodio legislator said the alleged attack took place when he was attending the commissioning of the rehabilitated Ussher Polyclinic at Jamestown; a project he claims he spearheaded.
He blames the ruling government for the alleged attack and has threatened to “take the fight to the doorsteps of the NPP”.
“We are going to take the fight to the doorstep of the NPP…the police were standing there and my life was threatened. People were wielding machetes…if Nana Akufo Addo wants jungle warfare in Ghana, fine. The police were standing there when the NPP hoodlums denied me access to the programme. They said they will not allow me in because Rebecca Akufo-Addo was there…they know I will expose their lies that they refurbished the facility…” he lamented.
