It has become an ordained phenomena that any celebrity that supports a political party, either records astronomical successes or fail abysmally.
Renowned Kumawood actor cum comedian,Kofi Adu (Agya Koo) has revealed how his many years of staunch support towards the New Patriotic Party’s 2016 victory resulted into zero benefits to him and those around him.
He relayed his utmost dismay in the fact that some unseen influential hands within the party inform others that he has been offered a satisfactory job that is benefiting him but the reverse is rather the case.
In an exclusive interview with a popular news portal, he had this to say;
“I hear people say Agya Koo has been given contract to haul cocoa. Cement and fuel… Especially when I reach London and other places, I hear them say Agya Koo you have this, Agya Koo you have that.. meanwhile I got nothing. That’s why I want to set the records straight. I got nothing. I don’t haul fuel. I don’t haul cocoa. I don’t haul cement as I sit with you here. If it is now they are going to give me, I don’t know, but as I sit here, I got nothing,”

This is not the first time a celebrity has been ditched or neglected after supporting a winning political party in Ghana. Celebs like Grace Omaboe (Maame Dokono), Kwame A Plus (Now convener of TPP), Kwame Dzokoto (Edziban Fame), Daddy Lumba and others have all faced the same predicament after supporting NDC or NPP.
