Obour Celebrated Prematurely But Lost Eventually

Final results from today’s polls indicates that former musician and erstwhile President of Musicians Union of Ghana, Bice Osei-Kuffour aka Obour failed to win the Asante Akyem South in his bid to represent his constituents in the 8th Parliamentary Session on the ticket of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

Many had tipped Obour to give a close contest to incumbent MP, Hon. Asante-Boateng. But at the end of the election, Obour garnered 296 votes as against the incumbent MP who polled 360 votes. Just like Kwame Dzokoto and co had failed in similar efforts, Obour has also joined them.

Many media portals reported Obour’s failure as a win in the early hours because his supporters had started jubilating prematurely all over social media just like Hon. Aponkye did some time back.
