It’ll simply be impossible to attempt a futile approach of unearthing the very last time I poured some genuine heartfelt worries on this space. Admittedly, as a result of the presence of the information superhighways, many are tempted to embrace its catchy state compared to penning their thoughts in diaries, walls or on private documents.
We have all gradually become insensitive to each other’s plight. This inherently selfish stance in all of us might shock you to the core when you realize that it’s becoming an acceptable trend. On a more sad note, we seem unconcerned about whatever trauma our colleagues, partners, followers, and others are faced with. Probably, this may be as a result of the disappointments we experience from those we’d expected to help us in remedying our problems.
Is this even a topic I would like to continue? Well, why not? It baffles my mind’s eye to come into terms with who ought to sympathise with other’s issue rather than making mockery of them, deciding to act unconcerned or reacting jovially. Most people become dumbfounded when those close to them rather act from afar instead of becoming sympathetic to their plights.
A typical scenario is that, Christmas is just around the corner and families, friends, girlfriends, boyfriends, and others will still demand from those who’ve lost their jobs, contracts, investments, etc due to the repercussions of the Novel Coronavirus pandemic and other unforeseen circumstances. After all, Africa we dey!
