Omah Lay, Tems arrest in Uganda: Burna boy, Wizkid, Davido, Sound sultan and others reacts to the singers arrest
Nigerian artists have started raising their voices on social media following the arrest of colleagues Omah lay and Tems in Uganda.
The singers were remanded in prison after the local Ugandan artists drew the attention of the police to a concert where the artistes performed against the country’s Covid-19 rules. According to reports, the two have been arraigned for court and will be charged.
However, Nigerian artists have voiced out with the new trending hashtag #FreeOmahLay and #FreeTems to communicated their message to the Government of Uganda.
Davido, Sound Sultan, Burna boy, Wizkid, Tiwa savage, Laycon and others have all requested their release while some quizzed why the event wasn’t shut down.
According to sound sultan, the organizers of the show are the ones the Uganda authorities are meant to accuse not the singers.
