Open Churches now – Abeiku Santana tells Nana Addo
Celebrated television and radio broadcaster, Gilbert Abeiku Aggrey Santana has said the failure for the president to lift the on the closure of churches is a slap of the face of soul winning.
Abeiku says there is no justification for the president to continue with imposition when he has opened markets and other industries and businesses. He said churches are the most disciplined and organized institutions that can ensure proper social distancing.
“Is it fair that Churches have not been opened? If we look at the imposition of restriction ie lockdown, its been two weeks since bringing an end to it and as result markets have been opened, businesses have also resumed work. Market women wept because of the toll the lockdown had on them and markets were opened but Pastors have been quiet so I’m talking for the church. So If we have allowed for markets to be opened why are churches not opened in Ghana.” he said
