(Opinion): Shatta Wale’s Concerns About The Electoral D3aths Is Genuine!

Whilst some Ghanaians are proud to have a free, fair and transparent elections, others are crying foul and accusing the Jean Mensah-led Electoral Commission for supposedly rocking in bed with the Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo-led government. With the foregoing, some people hold a different view altogether. Shatta Wale is one of such persons who has a different perspective in all these brouhaha.

Just like myself, Shatta Wale’s concern isn’t about how free and fair or rigged the elections went (depending on your party affiliation — you can choose free and fair or rigged) but how some persons suffered varied injuries and even worse off – death!

As someone who lives in Techiman, I’ve been traumatized for a whole week because of the clashes between the supporters of NDC’s Christopher Bayere and NPP’s Martin Agyei Korsah over their electoral dispute (or whatever it is to them). So far, three persons have lost their lives (including an 18-year-old boy)!

It was in this regard that Shatta Wale in his recent video, asked why the leaders responsible for the electioneering moments haven’t been arrested yet but Stonebwoy was arrested for wielding a gun on the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards stage (even though no one died).
