Oscar Pistorius trial resumes

imagesThe Oscar Pistorius Trial: A Carte Blanche Channel (DStv Channel 199) has resumed today, August 7 and followers will be able to catch up on the trial after a month-long recess.

Court proceedings begin with the closing arguments from both the defence and prosecution to be presented to Judge Thokozile Masipa. The channel will broadcast for two days only; after which it will pop down again until judgment.

The channel will continue to bring viewers thought-provoking documentaries, in-depth analysis of the trial and informed commentary from key personalities and experts in the legal, journalistic and particularly the social media fields,” says George Mazarakis, Channel Head for The Oscar Pistorius Trial: A Carte Blanche Channel.

The line-up for the two-day broadcast will remain the same. The Morning Show, a live show which starts at six every morning with regular live crossings to the High Court in Pretoria.

The show recaps on previous events in court and assesses what is expected to happen in court each day.

The live broadcast from the courtroom follows while the court is in session. After the court’s tea break, the live broadcast continues until  lunch break when The Lunch Time Show takes over.
