One of the Best MCs in Ghana and host of Drive Time on Joy 99.7 FM, Bola Ray known in real life as Kwabena Anokye Adisi in the company of his wife Dorcas and his son donated to the SOS Village yesterday in a colourful presentation at Tema.
Bola Ray was accompanied by actor John Dumelo, actress Yvonne Nelson and pugilist Joshua Clottey as well as Kojo Oppong Nkrumah. The items donated valued at GHC3.000 includes clothes, bags of rice, cartoons of biscuit, oil, milk, drinks and undisclosed amount of money.
Behind the beautiful faces and smiles are two very focused and dedicated personalities. Shirley Nwangeri for example won her crown after a keenly contested event at the Miatta Conference Center in the Sierra Leonean capital of Freetown. The Optometry student, who was chosen out of 28 contestants from Nigeria, Liberia, Niger, Sierra Leone, Togo, Senegal, Cote D’Ivoire, Guinea and the other ECOWAS countries, is set to embark on a peace initiative in the sub-region.
Twenty-two-year old Ramatu Sidic on the other hand clinched a treble of prizes on her way to claiming the title as Miss Ecowas Ghana.
The student of the Institution of Professional Studies (IPS) beat 13 other opponents as she won the overall best costume and dance, as well as the ultimate Miss ECOWAS Ghana 2010 crown.
The “night shift” Christmas presentations is the first of it’s kind in Ghana and has been warmly received by the Ghana Police Service. The exercise was a joint collaborative initiative by Oxigen World, Dream Beckon and the organisers of Miss Ecowas Pageant 702 Productions.
