Out and About This Christmas
Out and about in town this christmas whiles cruising around the Sakumono beach I chanced upon a restaurant/pub which had the view of the sea. It was not so heavily decorated but had a welcoming atmosphere amongst all the other places that lined close to the beach. There were some places with just a small shed and one discotheque light selling drinks. These places are simple and others quite exquisite but all had customers enjoying themselves.
I had a few drinks and had a meal which was delicious and quite affordable. After a while the DJ began to spin out some quality tunes which I loved coupled with the sea breeze. I felt so relaxed and enjoying myself until something caught my eye. It was a white man who was seriously dancing to some great Ghanaian tunes in the bar. It was a lovely sight that I just had to take out my camera and take some pictures to share with you. Most people condemn Ghanaian music but here is a man who doesn't probably know the meaning of this song but joyfully dancing to it. He was dancing to Castro's seihor and he mimed the lyrics as he danced and would make a gunshot sign when he got to the part where it says “obe ti kpa” then walk back with “seihor, seihpr” he danced so happily to other songs till he was tired. Am chilling out this Christmas with you on my mind and will update about the wonderful things happening this year.
