Pan-African Fashion House 54 Kingdoms To Launch 2012 Collection At New York Fashion Week
54 Kingdoms, a Pan-African inspired fashion house that specializes in high-quality fashion and accessories, will launch and showcase its new 2012 collection Kingdom Come during New York Fashion Week on Saturday, September 8th, 2012 inside the Thompson-Smyth Hotel (85 West Broadway, Manhattan, NY).
The Kingdom Come 2012 Collection with the tag line “Bold Colors for Bold People” gathers its inspiration from two avenues: native fabrics and prints which communicate the rich and vibrant culture of the African Diaspora, and a tribute design which illustrates Africa’s deep educational roots in the sciences and arts.
The night will kick off with an exclusive press conference at 8:00pm. The press conference will provide members of press with the opportunity to learn more about the Kingdom Come 2012 Collection.
Following the press conference, there will be a series of photo ops and red carpet interviews hosted by Afrosocialite, Ms. Mazuba Kapambwe, at 9:00pm, a presentation of the Kingdom Come 2012 Collection at 9:30pm, and a big fashion after-party at 10:00pm.
Invited guests will view a series of exhibits and model displays from the Kingdom Come 2012 Collection; guests will also be given a unique opportunity to experience the unveiling of a new project from the 54 Kingdoms group.
The producers of Runway Afrique, a documentary series that highlights the stories of emerging young African designers, will capture the event live for their follow-up on 54 Kingdoms.
The Kingdom Come 2012 Collection showcase is hosted by Ms. Genevieve Mbamalu and her team at MUI-The PR Company, with music by Afro-Electronic Dance Music creator, DJ Universe. MUI-The PR Company is a newly formed public relations and promotions company in NYC illustrates the divine essence of Africa through Fashion, Art and Media.
