The Minister in charge of Education who doubles as a Member of Parliament has received the Paramount chief of Tepa on a working tour. The meeting was fruitful and this has been shared in the Minister’s Facebook page.
The post reads;
***Yesterday, the Paramount Chief of Tepa, Nana Adusei Atwenewa Ampem, paid a courtesy call on me and congratulated me for my elevation to the position of a substantive Minister for Education.
He pledged to make large acreage of land available to the government towards the development of education in the area and the rest of the country.
On my part, I commended him for Tepa Senior High School emerging as the overall best school for the 2020 WASCE results in the Ashanti region.
I assured him of government’s readiness to transform the nation’s education to meet the 21st century standard so that our graduates can compete with students from any part of the globe.
Again, I appealed to all stakeholders in the country to complement government effort at developing the nation’s economy through education.
I used the occasion to explain some of the measures being put in place to get the best education for the various levels of education in the country.*
