Peter Wuni Baaga suspended from NPP for revealing party’s secrets on radio – See details here
Parliamentary Aspirant in the Nalerigu/Gambaga constituency in the newly created North East Region has been suspended from the party for breaking the party’s regulations governing the pending primaries.
Peter Wuni Baaga is a former DCE for the Nalerigu/Gambaga district and currently running against incumbent MP and Minister for Local Government, Hon. Hajia Alima Mahama.
In a Nalerugu based Tizaa FM, Peter Baaga disclosed how he rigged elections in 2008 for Hon. Hajia Alima to be elected for the first time as NPP MP in the constituency Ghanashowbiz.com has gathered.
“Alima knows what I did for her to become an MP. We will all account for our deeds on Judgment Day. She has so soon forgotten all these struggles and is taking me now for a fool but I won’t allow it to happen,” he disclosed on the local radio station in Nalerigu.
The regional chairman has written officially to suspend him from the party because of his utterance and standing to be investigated by the party.
The NPP is currently having 3 out of the 6 constituencies in the Vice President’s home region.
“This action has been necessitated by certain utterances you made during a radio program at Tizaa FM, a local radio station based in Nalerigu in the evening of 12th May 2020. Your utterances were in breach of Article 4(7) of the NPP Constitution and the General Guidelines governing the parliamentary primaries issued by the General Secretary of the party. The Regional Chairman as well as the Regional Executive Committee are in possession of a recorded tape of the program and are compelled to initiate disciplinary action against you,” Regional Chairman, Fuseini Nurudeen wrote in Baaga’s suspension letter.
