PLEASE COME TO OUR AID – PRIVATE LOTTO OPERATORS.
Of late, betting on various online betting portals is very common as well as staking of lottery (popularly known as lotto in Ghana).
As one moves across town, there are lotto kiosks that can be sighted at one place or the other. With enthusiasm, a lot of people stake it as either a form of a game to them or a way of elevating their economic life through winnings.
Private Lotto Operators in Kumasi have pleaded with the government to come to their aid after the NLA (National Lottery Authority) in Ghana issued an ultimatum to all of them to make some required registrations before they continue their operations or otherwise.
According to the laws governing Lottery in Ghana, it stipulates that no person or entity should operate Lottery except they’re duly registered and certified by NLA.
According to the Private Lotto Operators, if this law is strictly upheld, most of them may lose their jobs.
What do you make of this?
