Please Pay Us Before This Christmas – CPP.
The Community Police Personnel group, also known as Community Personnel Assistants under the Youth Employment Agency (YEA), was an initiative birthed to assist the Ghana Police Service in their nationwide operations.
These personnel were recruited and given maximum training like the main police service but were not introduced to weapons like the main police force.

They help police personnel in traffic regulations, arresting criminals and ‘other’ duties.
In an exclusive interview with Peace FM, the CPP revealed that they’ve not been paid for over six months now and that was their fate during last year’s festivities. They used the platform to plead with the government to pay them in order to make them also enjoy the Christmas since they also have some families members who depend on them.
We hope the appropriate authorities will heed to their plea since unpaid workers are likely to engage in illegalities to feed themselves.
