Police begin intensive probe into Sunyani beatings over funeral dress code

The Bono Regional Police Command has announced the commencement of intensive investigations into the severe beatings of residents of Sunyani who allegedly defied the funeral dress code for mourning their late Queen Mother.

In a statement issued by the Bono Regional Crime Officer, the police said their attention had been drawn to videos circulating on social media about the unfortunate incident.

See the screenshot of the Police’s letter below:

In the said videos, palace executioners clad in black outfits could be seen chasing and whipping innocent indigenes for refusing to wear black clothes to commemorate the funeral of the deceased Queen Mother.

There are divergent views on social media on this happening since a faction is in support of the traditional disciplinary measure whilst others feel that such things are barbaric in 2020.
