Politicians Trick Ghanaians With Big English – Yvonne Nelson Jabs
Socialite, screen diva and talented actress, Yvonne Nelson, has descended heavily on politicians again. The vociferous TV personality feels that politicians are maneuvering their way through the mind’s eye of Ghanaians with their ‘superior’ command over the Queen’s Language.
Per her narration, most Ghanaians do not have a better appreciation of spoken words, and, therefore, these politicians aim at using English for their activities and dealings just so the people will not comprehend what they are doing.
She lamented;
“English English….. but majority of Ghanaians don’t understand English, they stand before the people and speak what the people don’t understand. Serving the people? Naaa make them understand you! Using ENGLISH to steal..from the people who queue to vote for u”.
