PREGNANT WOMAN ALMOST LOSES HER LIFE DUE TO BAD ROADS
Road network is one of the most indispensable aspect of life that propels the economy of a country. Good and accessible road network is what encourages investors, traders, farmers, businessmen and all to troop into a particular jurisdiction for their activities.
Bad road network is a recipe for ignoring an area where one could have had the chance of doing something better there.
When roads are in bad shape, it discourages more buyers to even ply the road to purchase whatever they might be in need of.
Ghana is notorious for poor road network systems in some of the hinterlands and even through bigger cities. The government of the day has always been pressured to fix more roads before their tenure of office expires.
Some pregnant women are forced to trek to the hospitals for treatment or delivery since most cars are unwilling to ply these dilapidated roads.
This worrying situation has persisted in so many areas in Ghana. Some women even lose their babies as a result of this.
Due to the bad road of Bandai in the Northern part of Ghana, a pregnant woman had no option than to give birth on the road by the assistance of a community nurse while waiting for a motor bike to the hospital. Such a tragedy!
