Quick One: Is There Any Third Force To Overthrow The NPP/ NDC Dominance Yet?

Until Ghanaians kiss the voting day goodbye, our airwaves would keep disturbing our eardrums with uncountable interviews from these modernized politicians whose main aim in these last days is just to woo electorates towards their political camps. The campaigns this time around seem so aggressive because of how limited the rallies and other political platforms have been limited as a result of the Novel Coronavirus pandemic.

Many Ghanaians have complained bitterly and continue to do so because of some political moves from both the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the main opposition party, National Democratic Congress (NDC). This publication does not necessarily aim at discussing the personalities of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and former President John Dramani Mahama but their respective political parties.

Since some Ghanaians are somewhat ‘bored’ with the usual old NPP and NDC gimmicks during electioneering periods like this moment, some are calling for a third force that may do the first-ever magic of winning the General Election in say December 2020.

With over 17 candidates filling for the Presidential race and five (5) losing out, the remaining twelve (12) candidates are what Ghanaians are constitutionally left with. Apart from the usual NPP/ NDC dominance, could there be any surprise this time around?

Supposing you are presented with the opportunity of voting for either Paa Kwesi Nduom’s Progressive People’s Party (PPP) or Pastor Christian Kwabena Andrews, known popularly as Osofo Kyiri Abosom’s Ghana Union Movement (GUM), or Akua Donkor’s Ghana Freedom Party (GFP) who would be your pick?
