Teófimo Andrés López Rivera, a Honduran-American professional boxer in the lightweight division who competed in the men's lightweight event at the 2016 Summer Olympics, has beaten Richard Commey to the pulp to snatch away the IBF Lightweight title.

Ghana's Richard Commey took some severe punches in the second round of the match to lose his IBF Lightweight title to the American boxing sensation.
The American boxing sensation, 22, came into the match with his 32 year old Ghanaian opponent with a very fierce mentality.
The American traded serious punches with Richard Commey until he overshadowed the former champion with the heavier jab that landed him.

The referee had no option than to discontinue the match when Commey was cornered.
Richard Commey, having raised the standards of boxing in Ghana, fell short to the test this time around as he made it to only the second round.
Lopez becomes the 5th youngest world champion since 1984.
