Sad: See how Dr. Kwame Nkrumah’s children are fighting publicly
Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, the first president of Ghana and one of the most respected African Presidents of all times seems not to be enjoying some peace in his grave.
The children of Dr. Nkrumah are divided now. A man, Onzy came to the public long after the demise of Dr. Kwame Nkrumah that he is one of the children of Dr. Kwame Nkrumah. The Known children, both Sekou Nkrumah and Samia have denied him.
Dr. Sekou Nkrumah, the last born of Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, has written a statement cautioning the Onzy to stop holding himself as the son of his father.
“A few years ago when the media in Ghana started giving that imposter ( Onzy) a lot of attention, I spoke to Samia in the presence of one of her aids. I told her that we need to come out collectively and expose that guy, it can be done through a press release or a press conference!Samia agreed with me, but did nothing about it.
I was the only one among Nkrumah’s children who publicly condemned that imposter, and it is this sort of thing that gets me frustrated.If something is wrong and we all agree that it is wrong why not have the guts to stand up and condemn it! What do we lose? In fact I even went further to say that if he Onzy will subject himself to a DNA test and it is confirmed that he is the son of Nkrumah I will be the first to publicly accept him as a brother and apologize to him. But of course I knew that would not be the case.
It is also interesting to note that among all my siblings I am the only one willing to communicate with Onzy, and told him that I can accept him as a friend but not a brother! But because he kept on with his deception I gave him my piece of mind the last time we met at a coffee shop near metro TV. I completely lost my temper with him and the pastor he walks around with.” he wrote.
