Sam George is a hooligan and a threat to democracy – Atik Mohammed fires

A leading member of the Peoples National Convention (PNC), Atik Mohammed has taken a swipe at Sam George over some comments the later made against the former.

 

Atik Mohammed has been one of the advocates for the compilation of a new voters register against his party’s position. Hon. Sam George said he has collected money from the EC and was doing a PR for them, a statement that didn’t go down well for the suspended Chief scribe for the PNC.

 

“I hear Sam George says am a political mercenary. I like him to understand that, it is for vanquishing political criminals like him who think their only ticket to political relevance is through violence that we as he describes me, the “political mercenaries” exist. I understand he also said that, calling him out for who he is; a threat to our democracy, is because I am on contract with the EC and “political friends”. How I wish I got that opportunity! That way, I would be fully empowered to cut these political goons to size. If the EC would be gracious, I would relish any such contract to help rid our governance space of these obvious democratic dangers. As for my relevance in politics, I have had this from the very day I decided to engage in politics when Sam George and his likes were still undecided between the NPP and NDC. Am a politician of conviction unlike him and that’s how I have survived the NPP and NDC. I couldn’t be bothered about the invectives he issues on me because that’s his stock in trade. But I can assure him of one thing, that the battle to sanitize our governance arena of hooligans including those cloaked in titles such as “Member of Parliament” has begun!” he wrote on his Facebook page.
