Saminifest 2014

The Saminifest is the biggest show ever this year, thumbs up to Samini, MTN and other sponsors for a good work done. The trade fair was packed for the show with fans who were there to show their love and support for Samini. Abeiku Santana was on the bill as MC ,later joined by Dkb.  Abeiku was so charged that he was rapping and jumping and chanting raga vibes all over. He was with the performers during their act giving massive support.DKB alsso gave rib cracking jokes about the musicians.

One of the most interesting things was the number of artiste who came there to support Samini for his ten years celebration. The couple of underground artiste, Noble Nketia to give thanks for the ten year journey and commit the event in God’s hands. After Noble came we had Andy of mentor fame, then AK songstress, Koo Ntakra and his incredible co-artiste who single handedly with his mouth made rhythm for the MTN Hit maker winner to rap throughout his act. Akoo Nana also held the crowd’s attention with his act of taking of his trousers which he did teasingly. He asked the crowd to shout more so he takes it off he started taking it off and wore it again and left the stage. The next was Kofi kinata who has obviously won the love of the crowd as they sang along with him on his tunes and rap. Next was VVIP and the crowd went wild with their presence. Next was 4X4 who also continued with the excitement of the place. Next up was kaakie with her interesting outfit and side dancer.

Then came the man himself Samini with an interesting entrance; no introduction and he was on stage anonimously. The whole place was charged as fans couldn’t help but shout. H e was later joined by Sarkodie and it was more wild as the crowd saw him. They performed their lovers’ rock song as the crowd sang along and hailed them. Sarkodie performed solo and sang ‘me gye wo girl’ song he sang with Shattawale. Samini also performed with kofi Kinata and Tinny ‘aletse kankpe’. Kwabena Kwabena also came to join him sin Adult music. The he went back to the days of infinity with Kokoveli and KK Fosu. He performed with Kokoveli which received heavy applause. He also performed with Yaa pono. Trigmatic was around but didn’t perform. Nana Mcbrown was also there and all the High grade family. The sponsors were also represented; MTN ,Fiesta condoms that gave free condoms ,club beer and alomo bitters. The event had a huge turn up and ended at 5am.
