Sanitation officers and sanitation fund in the offing – Veep

The filth in Ghana has always become a serious issue for continual discussion.

Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia during his rounds in the Volta Region has said that Sanitation officers and sanitation funds are underway to ensure that poor sanitation as a canker in the country is eradicated once and for all.

In his speech during the said workshop, he stated that the government has embarked on more mechanised boreholes, institutional toilet facilities and other hygienic developmental projects to help fight poor sanitation.

He further pleaded with Ghanaians to be more concerned with issues pertaining to sanitation. He even made it clear that, as individuals, we ought not to wait for someone else to show us how to keep ourselves clean since anything short of that brings diseases and problems to us.

He also cautioned all yet to be recruited sanitation officers to be professional and honest to the course ahead.

In his concluding remarks, he made it clear that such officers should be prepared to work diligently and try all their possible best to avoid favouritism and nepotism in their line of duties ahead of them.
