Sarkodie is better than Shatta Wale- Kofi Sammy

Known for hit songs (Yello Sisi, Makoma, To wo bo Ase na Afideie wura beba) etc, Legendary highlife musician Abrekyieba Kofi Sammy who turned 74 this year in an interview with Don Twix and Da One Charles of Angel Entertainment Tv, advised current and upcoming artistes to use live band for their musical performances.

“I don’t hear what they say, I mean the current musicians, they need to perform with a live band”, he said.

When asked about two artistes with massive following lately, bBET Award winner Sarkodie and former VGMAS Artiste of the year Shatta Wale, this is what the Legend said:

“Sarkodie has words, he is very good, but I’m expecting him to record and also perform with a Live band. He is good, and I know he can do it, but Shatta Wale isn’t that good; he is just being promoted by a particular society. When that particular group of people gather, they dance to his songs”.

Abrekyieba Kofi Sammy, who confirmed to Ghanaflow.net said that he receives Royalties from Nigeria, because his hit song “Yello Sisi” still receives airplay in Nigeria.

He urged current musician to make music that can last long.
