Sarkodie — The Most Bullied Artiste In Ghana By Social Media Users

Talent is the single most significant artefact of every artiste who seeks to impress his or her fan bases and also strive to stay relatively relevant for a very long time. The rap game in Ghana was ushered into a different spectrum when Michael Owusu Addo aka Sarkodie came into the scene with his unique Twi rap spiced with storyline like predecessors such as Obrafour, Lord Kenya and Reggie Rock stone had done.

Heavily criticised for his inability to rap in English Language for a supposed international recognition, Sarkodie refused to be demotivated by entertainment pundits who decided to choose a divergent career path for him. The SarkCess Music Chief Executive Officer used this same Twi brand to win BET even when many refused to see it manifesting (even though they knew how talented, dedicated and hardworking he is).

Well, some netizens have continually labelled Sarkodie as a stingy artiste because he hardly posts projects he is into like others such as Shatta Wale, Stonebwoy and others do by flaunting their every move.

Personally, it is ‘a no no’ for me for anyone to tag another as stingy because the person isn’t into flaunting like others do. Besides, everyone is entitled to how he or she chooses to spend money and no one else can decide what the case ought to be.

Unfortunately, most social media users have resorted to unleashing verbal missiles on Sarkodie like they are now doing to Shatta Wale for charging those who wish to post their businesses on his (Shatta Wale) Facebook Tuesday Market platform. But, seriously, if you disagree with any artiste who hasn’t visited your home with a gun to force you in parting away your hard earned money, then where lies your argument?

Since Sarkodie has decided not to curse netizens who get on his nerves, he might as well go through this for so many years before another ‘safe replacement’ is chosen.

What do you make of this?
