Sarkodie wins Best Hiphop award at 2014 MAMAs

Sarkodie has won the ‘Best Hip Hop’ award at the 2014 MTV Africa Music Awards at the Durban International Convention Centre (ICC) in Durban, South Africa Saturday night.

Ghana’s fastest rapper beat AKA (South Africa), Ice Prince (Nigeria), Khuli Chana (South Africa) and Olamide (Nigeria) to win the award.

Nigeria’s Tiwa Savage beat Ghana’s songstress Efya to the ‘Best Female’ category. That category also had Arielle T (Gabon), Chidinma (Nigeria), DJ C’ndo (South Africa) as nominees.

Shortly after winning the award, Sarkodie took to Twitter to thank God and his fans for helping him win the award.
