Shatta Wale on Beyonce’s album won me a contract – Sarkodie reveals
A celebrated Ghanaian rapper, Michael Owusu Addo better known in the showbiz industry as Sarkodie has made an interesting revelation about how his arch-rival helped him seal an afrobeat deal.
Speaking on the Dentaa Show, Sarkodie said Shatta Wale’s feature with Beyonce catalyzed the contract for him.

“So I was out of the country to sign a deal which was dragging for days. I had a deal with some white people. The same week Beyonce released her song with Shatta Wale and after that, the people who were dragging their feet signed the deal for me,” Sarkodie told Dentaa.
For him, he felt Shatta Wale’s feature on Beyonce’s album opened the door for him in that deal and therefore found the need to support.
The two Ghanaian music legends have over a year now been beefing each other in a professional way.
