At an early age his parents migrated to Milan, Italy where he continued his studies at Clemente Baroni Elementary and Middle school.

His parents divorced when he was 12 years old and was raised by his mother who moved him and his younger sibling to the United States. Shegge always stated that his parents divorce affected him as a person, saying, “I had to grow up fast to try and support the two women I loved so dearly, my mother and my younger sister”.

In the US, he started his 9th grade at the infamous Tri Cities high school in Atlanta, a Visual and Performing Arts Magnet School where hip-Hop superstar duo; Outkast also attended. Acting was something that found Shegge. During his second year in high school, the Theater Instructor approached him to do a play for the school since he fitted the role.

Acting Career
Despite having no knowledge, his hard earned him the best actor award at the Georgia One Act. He said he felt like he had been called to speak for the people and since then made up his mind to pursue acting in school through college.

Musical Career
In January 2003, not long after his arrival in the US, Shegge did not hesitate to chase his music dream especially after seeing his peers like Bow Wow and Romeo doing it on screen. “Mom knew I could do it and wished she could help but she did not have the funds so I had to search it myself” in Shegge's own words.

He recorded his first demo with a cassette player using headphones as a mic, luckily for him he caught the attention of a record executive Dr. Asamoah. Dr. Asamoah signed Shegge to his label Easy Records and brought in a two time engineer of the year award recipient;Morris Babyface to record the first album; “Fever”. Fever had singles like; “Odo Adeebi”, “Magic pole”, and “Abena” which received lots of buzz from Ghana radio and TV.

Unfortunately for Shegge he had an ongoing immigration issue which prevented him from traveling so he could not go to Ghana for the next four years to promote this album. There is an old saying that whoever God blesses no one can curse and so he continued to keep his passion alive and recorded more songs and features.

Currently Shegge has about one hundred songs under his belt yet to be officially released and his song “money Dey” is currently playing on multiple stations in Ghana. He also has his first music out, the limit will have to be set further. In his own words he says “I don't regret not coming out at the age 15, as a matter of fact I'm a better artist today than I was yesterday and I have a better understanding now than I did before. To make it simple whatever God I'm with and for it, thank you”.

Shegge in a nutshell, is nothing like we have ever seen before. Many African artistes are ready for the world platform but lack the education to compete on that level, Shegge definitely is the answer.
