SM Boss Shatta Wale Pushes Against Mark Okraku Mantey Once Again

This world continues to be seen in circles of events that keep moving in a round motion as time moves on. And, sometimes, what we do (or tagged to have done) may come back haunting us sooner than we had anticipated.

The news about Mark Okraku Mantey once supposedly sabotaging Mr. Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jr aka Shatta Wale in order to make way for Livingstone Etse Satekla, better known by his stage name Stonebwoy, as a Ghanaian Afropop, dance hall and reggae singer is now circulating at a faster rate. The CEO of Burniton Music Group sprang to popularity after the then Bandana (Shatta Wale) purportedly coiled up and went into musical ‘exile’ in Jamaica. The ten (10) years absence of Bandana really did the magic for Stonebwoy. No wonder he (Stonebwoy) won the Best International Act: Africa category at the 2015 BET Awards and Artist of the Year at the 2015 Ghana Music Awards and other enviable awards elsewhere.

In all this, people believed (and still continue to think same) that Shatta Wale would have overshadowed Stonebwoy if he hadn’t gone to exile and still stayed to battle it out with his arch rival. But, to make a critical analysis of the thoughts being peddled online, Kurt Okraku Mantey was the masterminded plugger behind Shatta Wale’s fading away as against Stonebwoy’s prominence. Although the methods and strategies allegedly employed by Kurt Okraku is still not public, many think it is still possible with the kind of system we have in Ghana (especially with our Pull Him Down [PHD] syndromes as an inherent trait and well-groomed mentality).

With the foregoing, Shatta Wale seems concerned and has started rooting against the possible candidature for Mark Okraku Mantey to be given the nod as a Deputy Creative Arts Minister (this same position Bice Osei Kuffour aka Obour is after). Whether this is a serious issue at hand or otherwise, time will probably be the best judge of which we’ll all be privy to one way or the other.

What do you make of this?
