Come Thursday March 17th 2011, the National Theater will be on fire as the twelve contestants of the season 5 Stars of the Future finally take to the stage to justify their inclusion into Ghana’s most exciting music reality series.

Although the series was launched a few weeks ago, Thursday will be the first time the contestants step onto the big stage to perform to a live audience.

The night which promises to be packed full of trills will afford followers of the competition an opportunity decide which of the contestants to root for during the coming weeks.

The seven girls and five guys; Grace Ocansey, Kwame Wiredu, Emmanuel Yawson, David De-Graft Crentsil, Rauhel Halidou Yacouba, Asantewaah Essel, Elizabeth Joseph, Daniela Dankwah-Coffie, Abigail Bih, Reynolds Addow, Noella Wiyaala and Henry Nuamah have not been sleeping on their oars since their selection.

They have been very hard at work for the last three weeks preparing for this one night which will determine their fate in the competition.

Their lives since they entered the competition has been filled with voice coaching lessons, breathing exercises, singing with a live band, practice, practice and some more practice to ensure their talents a polished to a sheen.

Their performances on Thursday will be supported on stage by the Patch Bay Band, a twelve man music group that prides itself on delivering the best tunes under the able leadership of Philip Acquah with Victor Dey on keyboard (who once worked with Steve Wonder and the marvelous Béninois) guitarist Fifi Finder.

Soon to follow the performance shows are the dreaded eviction shows which will see the exit of non performing contestants till the final four who will battle it out for the ultimate prize of a brand new car and a juicy recording contact.
