Staunch Feminist Insists On Why She Would Rather Be 45 Years And Single Than Accept Certain Men

The society has unknowingly set a certain standard which forces unmarried women after 25 years to be outcasts. The society has set this standard which forces certain women to make decisions which become detrimental to them as time progresses.

A renowned Nigerian has shot down the idea of women being pressured to get married after age 25 and insists she would rather stay single forever than get hooked with certain men.

The outspoken feminist wrote;

“I have noticed that each time I turn a man down, and he knows my age, he’s always surprised. If he doesn’t know my age, some would say “keep looking for a perfect man till you turn 40.”

Surprised as in…. *How can you be over 30, single and still have the mind to turn me down?”

My aunty told me about this her secondary school classmate. She tried to match-make us. We had a chat briefly, then I called. I don’t know how I survived through the (about) 15 minutes phone call. It felt like guy was on a mission to make me dislike him. Then after walking through the valley of the shadow of a brain deprecating phone conversation and employing all my patience to stay calm and polite, I told him POLITELY that I’m not interested in a relationship with him.

Dude was like…. “Your aunty told me you’re 32, is that right?”

I said yes.

Then he said… “And you’re not interested in a relationship?”

I said ehen…?

He was shocked. Awkward silence till I found a reason to exit the call politely.

Guys,

Why do you get shocked when a woman who is over 25, 30, 35 or even over 40 turns you down?

Even if I end up single at 45, I’m still absolutely sure that I wouldn’t still want to have anything to do with some of you even if you were the only men left on earth. I’d sew up my vagina or become a lésbian instead.

Know this and know peace.
