Stop harassing us – Aggrieved market women

Some aggrieved market at the Madina market are calling on police personnel to desist from harassing them occasionally.

According to the women, they were selling foodstuff a permit as food providers but are merely being maltreated.

“They (police) are the ones who said we could come and sell, the man (President) spoke and we heard him also. Now we've mounted our wares in the market, and these are stores with permits, they are asking us to leave and go inside the markets. It is not fair” one trader fumed.

They want the police to clearly define the jurisdictions so they can also feel free to conduct their business and get monies for their 's upkeep in these trying times.
