One of the signs of every developed jurisdiction is the availability of a dominant market session.

In Kumasi, the Kejetia market is one of the promising markets in the country that accelerates the economic fortunes of the Ashanti Region and the country as a whole.

The market is managed by the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly which has its District Executive as Nana Osei Tutu II and their City Mayor in the person of
Hon. Osei Assibey Antwi.

During the Mayor’s usual rounds in the market to interact with market women and business men, he pointed out to the fact that the stern warning given about the inability of stall owners to transfer or sell their properties in the market to a different person still holds.

He admonished the market folks to take their businesses very serious and also pay all required levies to help develop the Assembly.
