Tano South Delegates Set to Pick Nomination Forms for Hon. Benjamin Yeboah Sekyere

The polling station executives and electoral area coordinators of Tano South are set to pick the nomination forms for the Member of Parliament for the Constituency, Benjamin Yeboah Sekyere as nominations have been opened.

The executives including the coordinators numbering about 600 have served notice that they are ready to troop to the Constituency office to pick the nomination forms for the MP.

A coordinator from Derma, DuBois Asare Nimo, explained the rationale behind their move is to show appreciation for all the good works he (Benjamin Yeboah Sekyere) has done since he was elected into office in 2016.

“We are doing this to declare our unflinching love and support for him for the yeoman’s job he has done for the past three years upon his assumption of office. Despite this short period of time, the projects scattered in the Constituency, coupled with the roads which are being constructed, we believe that he has done more than enough to deserve another tenure in office” he said.

James Anane Kwadwo, another coordinator in the Techimantia zone said that he sees it as a sheer waste of resources for anyone to decide to contest against the incumbent MP since he has done nothing warranting  him being changed.

Kwah Simon, popularly known as Sir John, a polling station executive from the Bechem zone also indicated that apart from the physical infrastructure they see in the Tano South Constituency, the Member of Parliament is humility personified. That, to him, is enough reason justifying their action to throw their weight behind him” he emphasized.

A Constituency officer who spoke on anonymity also reiterated the point that the MP has performed wonderfully well and it would be a travesty of justice not to let him go to Parliament again.

To him and his other Constituency officers, they would have wished that no one would contest him in the primaries since his performance beats their imagination. He advised that those who wish to contest Honorable Sekyere would be throwing good money away since they would not get the nod.

Honorable Benjamin Yeboah Sekyere, in the 2016 parliamentary elections, beat the then NDC Member of Parliament who doubled as a deputy minister for agriculture in charge of poultry and livestock, Hannah Louisa Bissiw in a contest some political pundit said the then incumbent MP would win.

The New Patriotic Party has opened nominations for constituencies the party has MPs in and  Hon. Sekyere is expected to pick his nominations in a few days.
