”The Accent That Nigerian Broadcasters Use, Is Even More American Than In The US” – BBC Journalist

A new journalist of the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) known as Okwoche has made a comment about the supposed ‘American accent’ used by Nigerian news broadcaster.

According to him, the American English accent used by some Nigerian journalist is worse to the extent they even confuse themselves.

Most people gets confused between the American accent and the British accents.

This create different pronunciations and spelling of words.

He tweeted;

“The ‘American’ accent that broadcast journalists in Nigeria use on-air, is even more American than in the US! Damn!

“Sometimes they don’t even understand themselves! One of the worst I’ve ever heard was one who said “Join us at sex!” I was like WHAAAAT? Took me a minute to realise she meant “Join us at six”!
