The Blatant Disregard : Cape Coast Oguaa
My name is Cape Coast Oguaa.
I am the former capital of Ghana.
I have the best senior high schools in the country and my university is one of the best in Africa. I still remain the tourism hub of Ghana willy nilly.
I have trained most of you to become responsible citizens but, why have you neglected me? Why have you left me behind in terms of infrastructural development?
In my city, if you should register a company or your business, you must travel to Sekondi-takoradi. Why?
In my city, if you need a passport as a Ghanaian, you must travel to Sekondi-Takoradi for it because I have no passport office. Why?
In my city, there are no rail lines
In my city, there's no harbour
In my city, there's no airport
In my city, there's no shopping mall
There are no industries and some of my roads are terrible.
If I may ask, what have I done wrong? What are you doing about my old post office building? When is my Fosu lagoon project commencing?
These and many more are the reasons why some of my sons and daughters are embarking on a peaceful demonstration on the 6th of March to draw the attention of our country's leaders to come to my aid.
I urge all and sundry to join this campaign and to take part in the pending walk on Independence day for me to get my share of the national cake. I have been neglected for far too long. I deserve the best as the ancient capital of Ghana 🇬🇭
6th March is going to be historic.
Kindly come out in your numbers..
