The Inner Joy When Mr. No Tactics Was Axed
Take it or leave it, Kwasi Appiah had some memorable moments with Ghana’s national team. The players loved him for who he was and supporters cherished him as well.
But, something took off our zeal some 6 years ago when Sulley Muntari was criticised for insubordination and indiscipline by Kwasi Appiah. Of course, Sulley Muntari is ‘no saint’ but was our hero and Kwasi Appiah belittled him then.

Well, as our let bygones be bygones attitude set in, we forced its erasure from our memories and forged on.
Fast forward, Kwasi Appiah becomes our coach again (the second coming) and he is all over our faces with some annoying “2 by 4” decisions that kept provoking some of us (at least, I knew about myself and my close pal, Hon. Isaac Effah of Tuobodom loathed his moves).
But the last straw that broke the camel’s back was when he took the captaincy from our darling Asamoah Gyan (no.3), with the flimsy spiritual excuse that was rumoured.
After the above move, we added him to our daily prayer topic and hoped for his “wahala”. That seemed never happening until he admitted in an interview that he didn’t believe in tactics.
What? How?? Why???
A national coach of Ghana Black stars with no interest in tactical formation?
Just like bush fire in harmattan season, the news ran around and Countryman Songo got hold of this issue.

On his Fire 4 Fire show, he roasted Kwasi Appiah to reach an edible stage and finally, he was axed !
The news of his boot out from the camp was welcomed like a miracle child to a once barren woman.
Next time, mess up with our Sulley Muntari and Asamoah Gyan…
