A leading member of the opposition National Democratic Congress, Mr. Elikplim Agbemavor a failed presidential candidate aspirant has expressed his opinion on the current minority MPs in parliament.
According to the celebrated lawyer, the NDC MPs are not doing enough for the party. He says they are not leading and championing the bad things in Government and all they know is staging needless walkouts.
He made the post on his Facebook page.
” Just last week they refused to participate in Saturday proceedings and walked out again. The excuse given by the MP for Kumbungu was lame. That they needed the weekend to interact with constituents. Is the work in parliament not for constituents? Or it’s a work to guarantee personal interests like ex gratia and car loans.
The inertia may also be attributable to a lack of confidence of some of the minority MPs. We should debate and exhaust the issues and educate the public on the many wrong policies of the NPP. That is the only way out of this numerical deficit we suffer now. How do you do it ? You talk and advocate without ceasing!! That is what Honourable Alban Bagbin did to the admiration of all. He was so consistent, persistent and resilient you just had to wonder he may have a point which then encouraged many to listen to him”, he wrote.
